Requirements
Hook 4.5mm, 70g of aran yarn
Measurements- 14"(35cm) around the face- 0 to 3months
Tension - Using aran wool and 4.5mm hook, 7tr x 3 rows to 2"/5cm
Abbreviations: ch- chain, dc- double crochet, tr- treble, beg- beginning, sl.st- slip stitch
Bobble st- (yarn over hook, insert your hook in the stitch, yarn over and draw up a loop, yarn over once more and draw it through the first 2 loops on your hook) 2 more times in the same stitch. There are now 4 loops on your hook. Yarn over and draw the loop through all 4 stitches.
Make 4ch, sl.st to form a ring.
Rnd 1: 3ch, 5tr into ring, sl.st into top of beg 3ch. (6sts)
Rnd 2: 3ch, 1tr into base of 3ch, 2tr into each st to end, sl.st into top of beg 3ch. (12sts)
Rnd 3:3ch, 2tr into next st, * 1tr into next st, 2tr into next st, rep from * to end, sl.st into top of beg 3ch. (18sts)
Rnd 4:3ch, 1tr in next st, 2tr into next st, * 1tr into next 2sts, 2tr into next st, rep from * to end, sl.st into top of 3ch. (24sts)
Rnd 5:3ch, 1tr in next 2sts, 2tr into next st, * 1tr into next 3sts, 2tr into next st, rep from * to end, sl.st into top of 3ch. (30sts)
Rnd 6:3ch, 1tr in next 3sts, 2tr into next st, * 1tr into next 4sts, 2tr into next st, rep from * to end, sl.st into top of 3ch. (36sts)
Rnd 7:3ch, 1tr in next 4sts, 2tr into next st, * 1tr into next 5sts, 2tr into next st, rep from * to end, sl.st into top of 3ch. (42sts)
Rnd 8:3ch, 1tr in next 5sts, 2tr into next st, * 1tr into next 6sts, 2tr into next st, rep from * to end, sl.st into top of 3ch. (48sts)

Rnd 10-13:3ch, 1tr into each st to end, sl.st into top of beg 3ch. Break yarn. Rejoin with white yarn to top of 3ch
Rnd 1:1ch, 1dc into each st to end, sl.st into top of beg dc
Rnd 2:1ch, 1dc into next st, * 1bobble stitch into next st, 1dc into next st, rep from * to end, sl.st into top of beg dc.
Rnd 3:1ch, 1dc into each st to end, sl.st into top of beg dc
Repeat rows 2 & 3 twice more time. Break yarn.
Make a pom pom and sew it on top
